He's my favorite, 'cause he's damn cool! Who's not a fan of a fat-bastard lizard that will turn around and shoot at you when you mess with him? That's personality, my friends!

Here's the first of many 'Random Sketchbook Creatures'!

This little guy is known as 'King Millow Weed'.

He's a simple monster who enjoys sunning himself on quiet afternoons, and dreams of swimming in far off oceans. He cares only for his own thoughts and sheds needles like a dog or cat sheds hair. He was once taller... but that's a story and sketch for another day.

I Tend to Dislike Economic Calamities

"Make no mistake: When the aftermath of congressional inaction becomes clear, Americans will not tolerate those who stood by and let the calamity happen," said R. Bruce Josten, the Chamber's top lobbyist, in a letter to members.


This is my favorite comment of the day on the issue of the House refusing the bailout proposal - because Mr. Josten used the word 'calamity' in a sentence with scolding disdain.
