the adventures of fluffy time.

hello and howdy again to all.
it's been too long since i was through this way.
i thought i would show off my newer marked plushies.

mark two, affectionately called "teapot" for his shape, was a disaster.
he ended up lumpy and ratty, which should surprise none. he was made from an old laundry bag, stuffed with cotton balls, and felt embellishments were added.

mark three, is this little turtle-cowboy guy.
he's a step up from the first two. he's only partially made from a tatter of old jeans, most of him is store bought felt, ritzy! and he's stuffed with proper fire retardant stuffing. it's springier then cotton balls.

oh, these little babies are safe alright. i took a lap through etsy.com to check out the competition, and i'm here to tell you, this is a stiff race. there are some people out there that can sew!
you aren't prone to bring in a lot of bacon with plushies unless you have a wicked awesome style, or if it's a plush of an established character.
so i won't be selling out of them anytime in the foreseeable future.
...
accept that the cats do love to wrestle with stuffed animals.
so i guess i can't make any promises about their well being.

the skull head did turn out pretty cute didn't it!
far better than i could have hoped for. who could have known that a skull could be so adorable?
small victories in hand stitched horrors.
